COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Blue Jackets activated center Dan Fritsche before their game against the Minnesota Wild Friday after he missed four games with an ankle injury.

A second-round pick in the 2003 draft, Fritsche had two goals in the Blue Jackets' opener. He was injured while being checked during a 3-1 loss to Los Angeles on Oct. 16.

Fritsche played 19 games with Columbus in 2003-2004, picking up one goal. He spent last season with Sarnia and London of the Ontario Hockey League, totaling 18 goals and 19 assists in 30 games.
