Washington Capitals: The injury-plagued Capitals recalled left wing Tomas Fleischmann and defenseman Nolan Yonkman from Hershey of the American Hockey League.

They were expected to play Thursday night in Philadelphia.

Yonkman returned to the Capitals after playing three of the team's first eight games. He was assigned to Hershey for conditioning on Oct. 22.

Fleischmann is tied for 10th in the AHL in scoring with 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 10 games. He was acquired in a trade in 2004, and was set to make his NHL debut against the Flyers.

The Capitals were expected to be without regular forwards Matt Bradley, Dainius Zubrus and Petr Sykora. Bradley and Zubrus have groin injuries. The team has not revealed the nature of Sykora's injury.
