The Los Angeles Kings announced Monday that goaltender Jason Labarbera returned to L.A. for family reasons.

The team did not provide any more information as to why Labarbera left the team during its road swing or when he would return to the Kings' lineup.

The Kings recalled Adam Hauser from the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL to take Labarbera's place.

So far this season, Labarbera has been a star for the Kings, starting in 10 of his 11 games. He has an 8-3 record with a 2.44 goals-against average and .915 save percentage.
