WASHINGTON -- The Washington Capitals sent goaltender
Frederic Cassivi back to Hershey of the AHL on Wednesday, signaling
that starter Olie Kolzig is ready to return after missing three
games with a hamstring injury.
Kolzig is healthy and will travel with the Capitals for their
game Thursday at Buffalo, the team said.
Cassivi was called up from Hershey last week and made one
appearance for the Capitals, in a 4-3 loss to the New Jersey Devils
on Friday night.
That was his ninth NHL game; the other eight came with Atlanta.
Cassivi has played in 10 games for Hershey this season, going
5-3-2 with a 2.44 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage.
