GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Phoenix Coyotes announced Wednesday that center Steven Reinprecht and defenseman Derek Morris have agreed to new three-year contracts with the team.

Coyotes general manager Mike Barnett did not disclose financial details.

Reinprecht, 29, was obtained in a trade with the Calgary Flames last month. He has three goals and one assist in the past four games and 13 goals on the season overall.

Morris, 27, was activated from the injured list Tuesday after being sidelined since Jan. 5 when he had surgery on his left ankle. He has two goals and 14 assists in 33 games this season.

"Derek Morris would have been the youngest defenseman in this summer's free agent group," Barnett said. "Steve Reinprecht is a skilled and versatile forward who will play on one of our top four lines."
