Jackman out for season with broken jaw

ST. LOUIS -- St. Louis Blues defenseman Barret Jackman will be sidelined for the remainder of the regular season with a broken jaw.

Blues general manager Larry Pleau announced Tuesday that Jackman had his fractured jaw repaired by Dr. Ken Kram. Jackman, who has four goals and six assists in 63 games this season, suffered the injury Tuesday at Nashville.

The club also announced that they have recalled defenseman Jeff Woywitka from Peoria of the American Hockey League.

Woywitka, 22, has played in 53 games this season with the Rivermen, recording one goal and 14 assists along with 58 penalty minutes. Woywitka has appeared in 10 games with the Blues this season.
