Rangers' Jagr has shoulder surgery
Jagr will begin rehabilitation this week, the Rangers said.
The 34-year-old was second in the NHL with 54 goals and 123 points this season. He tied for second with 24 power-play goals and was third with 69 assists.
After missing Game 2, Jagr was a non-factor in Game 3 before he was knocked out of the series for good early in Game 4 after taking another hit to the shoulder.
With Jagr rendered ineffective, the Rangers, who were back in the playoffs for the first time since 1997, were swept by the Devils.
