Brunette, 33, had a career-best 24 goals last season, marking his eighth consecutive season with 10 or more. He had 63 points, third on the team and the second-highest total of his career.
Brunette played in all 82 games last season and has missed only
one game in the past four years.
"Andrew had a very strong season last year," said Avalanche
general manager Francois Giguere. "He's been a solid, consistent
performer throughout his career and we're looking for much of the
same from him over the next two years."
