Isles' DiPietro misses home opener with groin injury
It was unclear when DiPietro hurt himself, but his last action was Tuesday night in Los Angeles. Backup Mike Dunham played the next night in Anaheim, and earned New York's first win of the season. DiPietro lost the first three games of the season.
DiPietro signed a 15-year, $67.5 million dollar contract during the offseason. New York recalled goalie Wade Dubielewicz from Bridgeport to back up Dunham.
