Toivonen, Stastny return to Bruins after stint in AHL

BOSTON -- The Boston Bruins recalled goaltender Hannu Toivonen and center Yan Stastny from Providence of the AHL on Monday.

Toivonen was sent to Providence on Sunday to play against the Worcester Sharks. He stopped 26 of 28 shots in Providence's 3-2 shootout win.

Toivonen has a 2-3-0 record with a 4.24 goals-against average in eight games with Boston this season. He also had played five games with Providence, earning a 1-4-0 record.

Stastny started the season with Boston, and had one assist in 11 games. He was sent to Providence on Nov. 13, where he has five assists in seven games.
