Tyutin out with sprained ligament in left knee
NEW YORK -- Rangers defenseman Fedor Tyutin will be out three to four weeks because of a sprained ligament in his left knee.
Tyutin was injured Thursday night early in the second period of New York's 4-3 shootout loss to Pittsburgh. An MRI exam Friday confirmed the sprain of the medial collateral ligament.
The 23-year-old Tyutin has appeared in 64 games this season -- his third in the NHL. He has two goals and 12 assists and ranks second on the team with 146 hits.
