Free agent Klee signs contract with Thrashers

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Thrashers agreed to terms with free agent defenseman Ken Klee on Monday.

The 35-year-old Klee played last season with the Colorado Avalanche. In 81 games, he had 19 points (three goals, 16 assists) and led the team with a plus-18 rating.
He received a two-year, $2.5 million deal with Atlanta.
Klee, heading into his 13th season, also has played with Washington, Toronto and New Jersey. He had 174 points (52 goals, 121 assists) and 792 penalty minutes in 791 career games.
On Sunday, the first day of free agency, Atlanta signed centers Todd White (four years, $9.5 million) and Eric Perrin (two years, $1.5 million). The Thrashers also re-signed left wing Pascal Dupuis.
