Defenseman has spent entire career with Kings
LOS ANGELES -- Defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky, who has spent his entire NHL career with Los Angeles, agreed to a five-year extension with the Kings.
Visnovsky, 31, scored a career-high 18 goals and had 40 assists last season and represented the Kings at the NHL All-Star Game.
The 5-foot-10, 188-pound Visnovsky was selected by Los Angeles in the fourth round, 118th overall, in the 2000 NHL draft. He led rookie defensemen with 39 points in the 2000-01 season.
He has played 417 games during six seasons, posting 62 goals and 176 assists.
