Upshall could miss up to six weeks with wrist injury
Upshall
PHILADELPHIA -- Flyers forward Scottie Upshall could miss up to six weeks with a broken wrist and forward R.J. Umberger also needs surgery on his hand and could miss two weeks.
Upshall and Umberger were both hurt in Philadelphia's 4-2 loss against Ottawa on Tuesday night and the Flyers said both players were scheduled for surgery Thursday.
The Flyers also said Wednesday that defenseman Randy Jones is out through the weekend with a right hip flexor injury and right wing Joffrey Lupul needs his injured left wrist examined.
Upshall was acquired from Nashville at last year's trade deadline in the Peter Forsberg deal and finished with eight goals and 16 points last season.
Umberger broke the pinky finger on his left hand.
