The wife of Hockey Hall of Famer Emile Francis, who was reported missing Tuesday, was found safe at a local hotel Wednesday, according to a report on TSN of Canada's Web site.

Police told local reporters in West Palm Beach, Fla., that Emma Francis, 77, was last seen when she dropped Emile Francis off at Palm Beach International Airport on Sunday morning. She did not return home.

"It's a shock. I've had a lot of shocks in my life," said Emile Francis, according to WPTV.com. "Not having any experience in this type of thing, it's hard for me, but I sure hope she's not in danger."

After Emma Francis was reported missing Tuesday, she was discovered at a local hotel, where she had decided to stay because heavy rains made driving difficult, on Wednesday. A hotel employee contacted police after seeing reports about her being missing.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel quoted a police report that said Emma Francis "appeared to be very disoriented and could not clearly answer" questions when she was found.

Emile Francis, a former player, coach and GM for the New York Rangers, was traveling to New Jersey and became worried when he did not hear from his wife. She was last seen wearing a Rangers shirt, black jeans and sandals, driving a white Buick Century with Florida license plate J12VMM.

"The light was still on in the house, the paper was still lying in the bed where she left it," said Emile Francis, according to WPTV.

Police said Emma Francis had not had any contact with Emile or her two sons since Sunday.
