Sawmill worker wins $1 million, car in contest at game
A sawmill worker showed some nifty stick work and it earned him $1 million.
Darwin Head, 35, made 15 goals in 24 seconds from the far blue line during intermission of Wednesday's Avalanche-Canucks game in Vancouver, British Columbia, to win the "Chevrolet Malibu Million Dollar Shootout."
He also won a 2008 Chevy Malibu Hybrid.
Head, a father of three and sawmill worker from Saskatchewan needed to make 15 goals of 20 pucks shot. Having started playing hockey at the age of 10 and playing recreationally until 10 years ago, Head had been selected randomly from 8.6 million entrants.
