Peters gets one-game suspension for run-in with Orr
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Buffalo Sabres enforcer Andrew Peters was suspended by the NHL for one game without pay for a confrontation from the bench with a New York Rangers player.
He will serve the suspension Wednesday, when the Sabres play at Pittsburgh.
Peters had an exchange with Colton Orr while the Rangers forward was in front of the Buffalo bench. He was assessed a 10-minute misconduct at the end of the third period of Buffalo's 3-2 shootout loss on Monday.
Orr, who also was assessed a 10-minute misconduct, was involved in a fight with Peters in the first period of the game.
The suspension will cost Peters $2,807 in pay.
