Wolves beat Penguins to take home AHL's Calder Cup
The Blackhawks haven't won a Stanley Cup since 1961, but Chicago does have a hockey champion.
The Chicago Wolves won the Calder Cup on Tuesday in Rosemont, Ill., beating the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 5-2 in Game 6 of the American Hockey League championship series.
Jason Krog had a hat trick to give the Wolves their second Cup win. They also took it home in their inaugural AHL season in 2001-02. The Wolves' John Anderson became the second coach to win multiple Calder Cups. Krog was named playoff MVP after scoring 12 goals and handing out 26 assists in the postseason.
Mark Ardelan and Luca Caputi tallied for the Penguins.
