TORONTO -- Toronto left wing Jason Blake will miss the Maple Leafs' game Thursday night in Ottawa because of a suspected concussion.
Blake was hit high by Atlanta's Colby Armstrong on Tuesday night and also hit the ice hard on his helmet. Coach Ron Wilson said after the game that Blake likely sustained a concussion. Blake has three goals and seven assists in 19 games this season.
The Maple Leafs recalled tough guy Andre Deveaux from the American Hockey League to take Blake's place. Deveaux has six goals and 54 penalty minutes in 13 games with the Marlies this season. He just completed a four-game suspension for an attack on Manitoba defenseman Nolan Baumgartner.
