Foote added to injured list a week after being hurt against L.A.
DENVER -- The Colorado Avalanche placed defenseman Adam Foote on the injured list Saturday due to injuries to his lower back and knee, and recalled defenseman Aaron MacKenzie from Lake Erie of the AHL.
Foote, 37, was injured in the second period of Colorado's game against Los Angeles on Nov. 22 and didn't return. He has already missed three games.
In 19 games this season, Foote has one assist.
MacKenzie had three goals and three assists in 16 games for Lake Erie. He has not played an NHL game and he was a healthy scratch on Saturday night when the Avalanche faced Tampa Bay.
