Wild place Nolan on injured reserve with leg injury
Minnesota's 4-1 win Friday night over the New York Islanders was the 14th game Nolan has missed this season because of the injury. He has five goals and five assists in the Wild's other 17 games.
Defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron sustained a lower-body injury against the Islanders and did not travel for Saturday's game at St. Louis. Neither did center Eric Belanger, who sat out Friday due to illness.
The Wild have a four-day Christmas break and Nolan could be out until the Dec. 28 game against the Chicago Blackhawks. They play at the St. Louis Blues on Saturday and host the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday. The Wild began the day with the fewest goals in the Western Conference, and Nolan's production has been missed.
Kolanos was summoned from the minors for the fourth time this season. The center has 15 goals and seven assists in 19 games for the Houston Aeros.
