Visnovsky to have surgery
EDMONTON, Alberta -- Oilers defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky will have season-ending shoulder surgery this week.
A team spokesman said Tuesday doctors will repair the labrum in his right shoulder. Visnovsky was injured during Edmonton's 3-1 home loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Feb. 3 and went on injured reserve two days later.
He has eight goals and 23 points in 50 games this season.
