Red Wings re-sign Miller
The deal is worth $650,000, a source told ESPN.com.
The 26-year-old Miller was the Anaheim Ducks' sixth-round pick (186th overall) in 2003 out of Michigan State. He played parts of three seasons with the Ducks before a trade to Tampa Bay prior to the 2009-10 season.
Miller played 14 games with Tampa Bay before being waived. The Red Wings claimed him in November, and he played in 66 games for Detroit last season, scoring 10 goals and adding nine assists.
Lightning re-sign two

Purcell, 24, played 41 games last season for the Los Angeles Kings before getting traded to the Lightning in early March.
Kostitsyn signs Predators deal

Washington retained center/right winger Boyd Gordon with a one-year contract. The deal is worth $800,000.
