COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated defenseman Mike Commodore off injured reserve and assigned defenseman Nick Holden to Springfield of the American Hockey League.

General manager Scott Howson announced the moves on Friday.

The 30-year-old Commodore missed 10 games after he injured his hand Oct. 9 against the San Jose Sharks. He is scoreless with nine penalty minutes in his only two games this season.

The 23-year-old Holden made his NHL debut against the Anaheim Ducks on Oct. 20 and was scoreless in five games with the Blue Jackets.
