A lower-body injury will sideline San Jose Sharks defenseman Douglas Murray for Monday's game against the visiting Los Angeles Kings, the team's website reported this afternoon.

Murray and Dan Boyle have been the top defensive pair for San Jose this season. Murray blocked a shot at the 5:34 mark of the third period Saturday night in a 4-3 victory against visiting Calgary, skated to the bench and didn't return to the game.

The Kings (12-3-0) head into Monday's game leading the Western Conference in wins and points. They're off to their fastest start in club history.
