BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Sabres goalie Ryan Miller didn't dress Saturday for Buffalo's 2-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, and is day-to-day because of a groin injury.

Sabres coach Lindy Ruff said Miller had some soreness and tenderness in his groin Saturday morning, but added the injury is "supposed to be very mild."

It's the second time this month that Miller hasn't been available to play. He missed five straight games earlier this season with hip soreness that developed during training camp.

Miller had played the past four games, including a 34-save effort in Friday's 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings. Ruff said Miller began feeling some tightness in his groin following the victory.

Rookie Jhonas Enroth was recalled from Portland of the AHL. Enroth played in four games during Miller's last absence, going 2-1-1 with a 3.43 goals-against average.

Miller is 6-6-2 this year with a 2.63 GAA and .909 save percentage.

Patrick Lalime started against the Lightning, and finished with 20 saves in dropping to 0-4-0.

The Sabres (8-11-3) are off until Wednesday when they host Pittsburgh.
