There were no drawing blanks when NHL players were asked to name the best man on the draw.

In a poll of 29 players, all from different NHL teams, Nashville center Yanic Perreault was picked hands-down as the best faceoff man in the league. Perreault, who is the NHL's faceoff leader at 62.7 percent, earned 17 of 29 votes (58.6 percent).

One of the NHL's top faceoff men his entire career, Perreault has shown time and time again that winning faceoffs isn't about the luck of the draw at all.

"He will probably be first in the poll until the day he retires," said Minnesota winger Marc Chouinard.

Buffalo center Tim Connolly said he knows a faceoff winner Perreault when he sees one.

"How is he better than everybody else? I don't know. How is [Jaromir] Jagr better than everybody else? Talent, hard work, experience."

Phoenix center Mike Ricci has a more detailed explanation for Perreault's success.

"He's got a quick stick and is pretty strong on it, and he's got good hand-eye coordination," Ricci said. "He seems to get the puck just before it hits the ice."

Here are the results from each team. Players were not allowed to name someone from their own team and some respondents asked to remain anonymous.
