Canucks D Salo returns for Game 5
VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Canucks defenseman Sami Salo has returned to the Vancouver lineup after missing most of the previous three games because of an undisclosed lower-body injury.
Salo, the Canucks' top defenseman, got back into action Saturday night for Game 5 of Vancouver's Western Conference semifinal series against the Chicago Blackhawks. Salo was injured while scoring a power-play goal early in Game 2 one week earlier. It was his third goal and sixth point in five playoffs games.
Salo went straight to the locker room after the injury and hadn't played since then. He flew to Chicago during Game 3 on Tuesday and has been skating for five days.
