Boucher to back up Leighton
Boucher had missed seven straight playoff games with injuries to both knees after leaving Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals May 10 against Boston.
Boucher suffered a sprained MCL in his left knee when two players fell on top of him during a battle in front of the net. The right knee also was injured, but to a lesser extent.
He will back up Michael Leighton, who has been stellar in coming in for Boucher.
Boucher had played the first 10 games of the playoffs, going 6-4 with a 2.33 goals-against average.
"It feels good, so I'm excited to be back," Boucher said Friday. "It hurt quite a bit, and thankfully it healed up quickly."
