Surgery still possible for Toronto defenseman

TORONTO -- Maple Leafs defenseman Ken Klee will miss Game 6
against Philadelphia on Tuesday because of a knee injury.

Without discussing the extent of the injury, coach Pat Quinn
said Monday that Klee is under observation and didn't rule out the
possibility of surgery.

Klee, one of Toronto's steadiest defensemen this postseason, was
hurt in the first period of Toronto's 7-2 loss at Philadelphia on
Sunday. The Flyers lead the best-of-seven second-round series 3-2.

Klee has no points while averaging almost 19 minutes of ice time
in 11 games this postseason.

Karel Pilar, who has yet to play a game this postseason, is
expected to take Klee's place in the lineup. Pilar had two goals
and 17 assists in 50 games during the regular season.
