ABC takes baton from ESPN

NEW YORK -- The rating for Tampa Bay's 4-1 victory over Calgary in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup finals was up slightly from Game 1, which tied for the lowest-rated finals game on ESPN since 1990.

Game 2 on ESPN was watched by an average of 1,021,000 households and had a rating of 1.2. Game 1 was watched by an average of 1,013,000 households and had a rating of 1.1.

Thursday night's game was the last of 30 NHL playoff games on ESPN or ESPN2 this season. The games were watched by an average of 650,000 households, a 10 percent increase over last season when the network aired 32 games.

The rest of the best-of-seven series is on ABC.
