The Atlanta Thrashers, trailing two games to none in their opening-round series with the New York Rangers, have changed starting goalies again, naming Kari Lehtonen the starter for Tuesday's Game 3 in New York.

Lehtonen started Game 1 for the Thrashers in a 4-3 loss, while Hedberg started Game 2, a 2-1 Rangers win.

While Johan Hedberg only allowed two goals on 39 shots in Game 2, Thrashers coach Bob Hartley decided it was time to bring back Lehtonen, who set a franchise record for wins during the regular season.

"Kari has won plenty of big games for us, and has played well for us in Madison Square Garden," Hartley said, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "I thought it was an easy decision."

Lehtonen allowed four goals on 38 shots in Game 1.

"We have two great goalies. Kari is capable of winning us some big games, same thing as Moose," Hartley told the newspaper. "[Lehtonen], with his talent, can steal games on any given night. That's the kind of clutch goaltending we need this time of year."
