Well, some teams are out of the playoff running (sorry, Edmonton), but there are still some questions heading into the final days of the regular season.

Here at ESPN.com's Power Rankings, we're all about giving credit where credit is due, including the Washington Capitals and Nashville Predators.

After an offseason of uncertainty between the team's lease issues and the free-agency dump of players because of it, Nashville currently holds a playoff spot in the West. They're even getting scoring from the fourth line of Rich Peverley, Jordin Tootoo and Brandon Bochenski. (The trio combined for six points in a game earlier this week.)

Washington is still fighting to get one of the East's spots, and it is 9-1-0 over its past 10 games. But the Caps need help from Carolina, Boston and/or Philadelphia to make it.

As always, you can weigh in and rank your 30 teams here.

Until next time, enjoy, puckheads!

2007-2008 Power Rankings: Week 25
  RK (PV)   TEAM REC. COMMENT
1 (1)   Sharks 49-21-10 The Sharks are 18-0-2 over their past 20 games dating back to a Feb. 21 victory over the Flyers in Philly. San Jose sure is red-hot, but we all know this will mean nothing if it can't at least make it past the second round.
2 (2)   Red Wings 52-20-7 The Red Wings went 10-2-1 in March and are getting healthier heading into the playoffs. Will the probable No. 1 seed hurt them come next week?
3 (3)   Canadiens 45-25-10 The Habs have won five of their past six, and they've shown strong defensive play without Mike Komisarek, Saku Koivu and Francis Bouillon in the lineup of late.
4 (4)   Ducks 45-27-8 A stellar defensive crew (Scott Niedermayer; Chris Pronger, when he returns from suspension; and Mathieu Schneider), but Anaheim is struggling with scoring, as it is one of just five teams yet to reach 200 goals.
5 (5)   Penguins 46-26-8 Sidney Crosby is back in the lineup, and Evgeni Malkin hasn't shut down because of it. This is a good thing.
6 (6)   Rangers 41-27-11 Chris Drury is scoring overtime winners. Haven't we seen this before?
7 (12)   Wild 43-28-9 Milestones all around in Minny. Marian Gaborik reached 40 goals for the first time and a team-best 80-point mark, while coach Jacques Lemaire is closing in on career win No. 500.
8 (8)   Flames 41-29-10 Ending your season with nothing but games against the Northwest can take a lot out of a team, but Miikka Kiprusoff looked pretty solid against Edmonton earlier this week.
9 (9)   Devils 44-28-7 The Devils clinched their 11th straight postseason berth. There is something to be said for defensive consistency.
10 (7)   Hurricanes 42-32-6 The Canes have been in control of the Southeast Division for most of the season. (There have been only 14 days that Carolina hasn't been in the lead.) But now, it's getting too close for comfort with Washington.
11 (19)   Predators 40-31-9 After everything it has been through on and off the ice, Nashville, if it makes the playoffs, will own one of the best stories of the season that not enough people are talking about.
12 (15)   Capitals 41-31-8 The Capitals are 9-1-0 over their past 10 and are looking to catch Carolina, Boston or Philadelphia for a playoff berth. And the Alex Ovechkin/MVP debate wages on.
13 (17)   Avalanche 43-31-7 Peter Forsberg scores his first goal of the season, and the Avs lock up a playoff spot.
13 (13)   Flyers 40-28-11 A win is a win, but we'd like to see Philly take one in regulation down the stretch. Four of the Flyers' past five have gone into extra time.
15 (11)   Stars 43-29-7 Same goes for Dallas.
16 (10)   Canucks 39-31-10 Sorry, Canucks fans. Any team listed above this spot on this week's list has a better chance of winning a playoff game right now than Vancouver.
17 (18)   Bruins 40-28-11 The Bruins are STILL in the playoff hunt. Another one of those good hockey stories. Gee, think coach Claude Julien has something to do with it?
18 (14)   Senators 42-30-8 Remember at the start of the season when folks were comparing the Senators to the dynastic Canadiens teams of the '70s? So ... long ... ago.
19 (16)   Oilers 40-35-6 The Oilers' push came to an end this week, but something tells us it might not be such a fight next season.
20 (20)   Sabres 38-30-12 The Sabres are hanging on by a thread, but they're technically not out ... yet.
21 (21)   Panthers 37-34-9 When the headlines from one of your team's local papers is "Nothing doing in Panthers' home finale," that's not a great sign.
22 (24)   Blackhawks 38-33-8 Chicago's technically not out either, but looks like we'll have to wait until next season for a chance to see the wonder twins in spring play.
23 (22)   Coyotes 37-36-6 Kyle Turris is set to make his NHL debut this week in Phoenix, which looks to evaluate what the future holds.
24 (23)   Maple Leafs 36-33-11 What now for Mats Sundin?
25 (25)   Blue Jackets 34-33-12 What now for Ken Hitchcock?
26 (26)   Islanders 34-37-9 Think the Isles want to play spoiler as the Devils and Rangers fight for playoff position?
27 (27)   Blues 31-35-13 The Power Rankings ... where we feel Andy McDonald's pain.
28 (28)   Thrashers 33-40-8 How sad is it that two of the league's most-talented scorers are in the bottom three of our list? Here, we're talking about Ilya Kovalchuk, who has 52 goals and 86 points and no postseason to show for it.
29 (29)   Lightning 31-39-9 Vinny Lecavalier is the other one -- 40 goals, 90 points, no playoff berth.
30 (30)   Kings 31-42-7 Counting down the days until the NHL draft drawing on Monday.
