Columbus (8-14-4-2) at Pittsburgh (6-16-4-2) 7:30 pm EST

PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- The Pittsburgh Penguins try to avoid a sixth straight defeat when they host the road-troubled Columbus Blue Jackets at Mellon Arena on Saturday.

The Penguins went 0-4-0-1 on a road trip and are 1-6-0-1 in their last eight games.

Pittsburgh lost at Atlanta on Friday, 6-3, playing without rookie goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, who is with Canada's World Junior championship team.

Sebastien Caron started instead and allowed four goals on 15 shots before being replaced by Jean-Sebastien Aubin with the Penguins tailing 4-3 in the second period.

The Blue Jackets are 0-9-1-1 away from Nationwide Arena - the only winless road mark in the league. Columbus is on a franchise-record road losing streak since beating Calgary on March 29.

Columbus is 0-2-1-1 since beating Anaheim on December 2, falling to St. Louis at home on Friday, 3-2 in overtime. Doug Weight scored the winning goal with nine seconds left after Keith Tkachuk got away with a crosscheck on Darryl Sydor.

Rick Nash scored his league-leading 19th goal for Columbus.

This is the only meeting between the teams this season. Columbus posted a 5-2 home win last December 31 in their only encounter last campaign.
