Colorado (17-10-7-1) at Calgary (19-10-3-3) 8:00 pm EST

CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Calgary Flames try to conclude a successful month with another victory when they host the Colorado Avalanche.

Calgary is 10-2-2-0 in December, including a 5-1-2 mark at home. The Flames are 5-1-1 in their last seven games after Monday's 2-2 tie with Minnesota.

Martin Gelinas and Dave Lowry each scored for the Flames, who held a 46-19 edge in shots on goal, but failed to capitalize against Wild goaltender Dwayne Roloson.

Calgary has not won 11 games in a month since going 11-4-1 in March 1991.

Colorado fell to 1-3-4 in its last eight games after Monday's 3-2 setback against Vancouver. Steve Konowalchuk scored twice for the Avalanche, which blew a 2-0 lead.

Konowalchuk ended a 15-game scoring drought with his pair. The Avalanche hope that Alex Tanguay gets going after having just one goal in his last 14 games.

The Avalanche are 2-0-1 against the Flames this season - the teams skated to a 1-1 tie in the last meeting on December 13.
