SUNRISE, Florida (Ticker) -- The red-hot Colorado Avalanche continue their four-game road trip Wednesday with a visit to the Florida Panthers at the Office Depot Center.

Colorado improved to 9-1-0-1 in its last 11 games with a 5-4 overtime win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday.

Milan Hejduk converted a penalty shot 59 seconds into overtime after tallying the game-tying goal with 6:19 left in regulation. He also had two assists. Alex Tanguay also scored and has four goals and eight assists during a seven-game points streak. Peter Forsberg missed his second straight game with a groin injury and remains day-to-day.

David Aebischer made 31 saves Monday as the Avalanche won their third straight road game.

Florida has just one win (1-2-1-1) in its last five games after a 2-1 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues on Monday. Captain Olli Jokinen has three goals in his last two games while Roberto Luongo has yielded only three goals in the last three home games.

The Panthers, who are 5-1-3-1 in their last 10 home games, are only 4-12-3 all time against the Avalanche, including a 1-8-0 mark here.
