DETROIT (Ticker) -- The Detroit Red Wings may have Robert Lang in their lineup for the first time when they host the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday at Joe Louis Arena.

On Friday, the Red Wings acquired the All-Star center from the Washington Capitals for Tomas Fleischmann, a 2004 first-round draft pick and a 2006 fourth-round pick.

Lang, who has points in 13 straight games, has 29 goals and 45 assists in 63 games and is one point behind Tampa Bay's Martin St. Louis for the league lead.

The Red Wings, who are opening a four-game homestand, improved to 8-2-3 in their last 13 games with a 2-1 triumph at Calgary on Thursday.

Pavel Datsyuk had two assists, Ray Whitney and Steve Thomas scored goals and Manny Legace recorded 33 saves for Detroit, which had opened a three-game road trip 0-1-1.

Detroit leads the Western Conference with 83 points.

Philadelphia, which is tied with Ottawa atop the Eastern Conference standings with 84 points, had been 2-0-1 after a three-game losing streak before coming up short at Boston on Saturday, 3-2 in overtime.

Mark Recchi and Alexei Zhamnov scored for Philadelphia, but Boston's Glen Murray scored an unassisted goal 1:21 into overtime for the game-winner.

This is the teams' only meeting this season. The Flyers won at home last season, 3-2.
