DALLAS (Ticker) -- The Colorado Avalanche try to extend their lead in their Western Conference quarterfinal series against the Dallas Stars in Game Three on Monday.

Colorado has scored eight goals through two games and cruised to a 5-2 victory in Game Two on Friday. Alex Tanguay had a goal and an assist and Joe Sakic and Peter Forsberg for the Avalanche.

Sakic has score in four straight postseason games.

Dallas is hoping a return home will help it get back in the series. The Stars won 26 games at home this season, the second-best total in the Western Conference.

WHO'S HOT:

Dallas - Jason Arnott has not scored and has one assist, but leads the Stars with six shots on goal.

Colorado - Forsberg, Sakic, Tanguay have scored in each game of this series.
