TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- The Stanley Cup Finals go the distance for a third time in four years Monday when the Tampa Bay Lightning host the Calgary Flames at the St. Pete Times Forum.

Last year, the New Jersey Devils beat the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim at home in Game Seven and the host Colorado Avalanche defeated the Devils in a seventh game in 2001. This will be the first time since 1964-65 that the Finals have gone the distance in consecutive years.

The home team is 10-2 in seventh games, with the Devils blanking the Ducks, 3-0, last year at the Continental Airlines Arena.

The only teams to win on the road in Game Seven are the 1945 Toronto Maple Leafs and the 1971 Montreal Canadiens.

The Flames failed in their first chance to bring the Cup back to Canada for the first time since the Canadiens in 1993 as they suffered a 3-2, double-overtime overtime loss at home on Saturday.

Martin St. Louis scored 33 seconds into the second extra period to improve the Lightning to 7-0 in the postseason after losing a game. Tampa Bay had won only one playoff series prior to this year.

Calgary, which is making its first appearance in the Finals since winning the Stanley Cup in 1989, had tied a record for playoff road wins - 10 - with a 3-2 overtime triumph here on Thursday.

WHO'S HOT:

Tampa Bay - RW Martin St. Louis has four goals in the series. He has points in seven of his last nine games.

Calgary - LW Oleg Saprykin, who snapped an 18-game goalless drought in Game Five, assisted on LW Marcus Nilson's goal that tied the game, 2-2, on Saturday.

WHO'S NOT:

Tampa Bay - C Vincent Lecavalier has not scored a goal in his last seven games. LW Dimitry Afanasenkov is pointless in 13 contests. D Nolan Pratt has not registered a point in 19 postseason games.

Calgary - C Chuck Kobasew is pointless in his last 11 contests. D Rhett Warrener has one assist in 23 postseason games.

STREAKS: The Flames have won six of their last seven road games. Tampa Bay has alternated wins and losses over its last 13 contests. The Lightning are 31-0-2 over the regular season and playoffs when C Brad Richards, who had two goals Saturday, scores.

HISTORY: Calgary has appeared in the Finals twice, losing in 1986 before winning in 1989. The Lightning are playing for the championship for the first time in their 12-year existence.
