PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The winless Pittsburgh Penguins will bring something old and something new when they meet their cross-state rivals, the Philadelphia Flyers, on Friday.

The contest marks the return of John LeClair and Mark Recchi to Philadelphia to face their former team for the first time since they signed with the Penguins as free agents.

LeClair spent 10 seasons with Philadelphia, reaching the 50-goal mark three times, and Recchi scored a career-high 53 for the Flyers in 1992-1993 during the first of his two stints in the "City of Brotherly Love."

With their new team, LeClair has just two assists this season, while Recchi has two goals and four assists to tie rookie sensation Sidney Crosby with a team-leading six points.

Recchi and Ziggy Palffy scored a goal and an assist apiece for Pittsburgh in Monday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Buffalo Sabres. The Penguins have allowed 18 goals in four contests.

Simon Gagne scored his fourth goal of the season and Mike Knuble added a shorthanded tally for Philadelphia in a 4-2 defeat against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday.

Peter Forsberg is still looking for his first goal with Philadelphia but has five assists to tie Gagne for the team-lead in points.

The Flyers have won 20 of 23 home meetings against the Penguins and posted a 2-1-3 mark against them in 2003-2004.
