ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- Tyler Wright and Sandis Ozolinsh get a second chance to end the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim's long slide when they host the Colorado Avalanche on Friday.

The Mighty Ducks enter with a six-game losing streak - three in overtime or a shootout. They hope to avoid their first seven-game slide since March 1-13, 1998.

Wright made his Anaheim debut Wednesday in the team's 4-2 loss against Dallas. The 32-year-old center was acquired, along with Francois Beauchemin, from Columbus for Sergei Fedorov on Tuesday.

A seven-time All-Star and former Avalanche standout, Ozolinsh returned from a nine-game absence due to a cracked rib.

Colorado ended its own two-game slide by posting a 3-1 triumph at Phoenix. Marek Svatos scored his team-leading eighth and ninth goal for the Avalanche, who have won two of their last three road games.

In their only meeting of the season, Colorado posted a 4-3 win over Anaheim at the Pepsi Center. Antii Laaksonen's shorthanded third-period goal proved the difference.
