NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The surprising New York Rangers will try to rebound from a tough loss when they visit the surging Nashville Predators on Thursday.

The Rangers opened their three-game road swing with a 2-1 overtime loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday.

Henrik Lundqvist stopped 17 shots and fellow rookie Petr Prucha scored the lone goal for New York, which has lost two of its last three after posting six consecutive victories.

The Rangers have tallied just seven times in their last four games and hope to rediscover their offensive punch against a Predators squad which has won four in a row.

Nashville built an early lead and staved off a late rally en route to a 5-2 triumph over the Washington Capitals on Wednesday.

Steve Sullivan and defenseman Marek Zidlicky scored two goals apiece and backup goaltender Chris Mason filled in admirably for Tomas Vokoun with 30 saves.

Vokoun has been spectacular recently, winning four of his last five outings while posting a .935 save percentage over that stretch. The reigning NHL Defensive Player of the Week, Vokoun is 2-2-1 in five career appearances against the Rangers.
