ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- The surprise New York Rangers hope to end their mini road trip on a winning note when they visit the lowly St. Louis Blues on Saturday.

After dropping a 2-1 overtime decision to the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday in the opener of their three-game road swing, the Rangers posted an impressive 5-1 victory over the Nashville Predators on Thursday.

Netminder Henrik Lundqvist stopped 30 shots while fellow rookie Petr Prucha and Steve Rucchin scored two goals apiece for New York, which improved to 2-0-1 against Western Conference teams this season.

Prucha has been on fire over the last three weeks, tallying nine times in his last 10 games. The first-year Czech center enters Saturday's contest with a four-game scoring streak and has netted six goals over that stretch.

The Blues, who own the worst record in the NHL, hope to avoid losing to the Rangers for the first time since the 1999-2000 campaign, when New York posted a 4-1 triumph here on January 22.

St. Louis has dropped 16 of its last 19 and has collected just 13 points this season, the lowest total in the league.
