COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- After dropping three straight games against the Western Conference elite, the New Jersey Devils will attempt to find success against a team near the bottom of the conference.

The Devils will look to avoid matching their longest losing streak of the season Sunday when they visit the Columbus Blue Jackets, who still are searching for offense.

New Jersey lost back-to-back games against first-place teams Detroit and Calgary before dropping a 4-3 shootout to Colorado on Friday. Jay Pandolfo, Brian Gionta and Scott Gomez scored in regulation for the Devils, who failed on all seven shootout attempts.

The Devils, who only have two goals in their last 40 power-play opportunities, last dropped four straight games November 1-8.

Columbus, which is last in the league with 54 goals, is coming off a 5-2 setback to Atlanta on Friday. Rookie Jaroslav Balastik and Nikolai Zherdev scored for the Blue Jackets, who lost for the second time in three games.

Columbus is 2-2 all-time at home against New Jersey, including a 4-3 loss on January 27, 2004 in the only meeting between the teams in the 2003-04 season.
