WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- The Florida Panthers look to bounce back from an awful loss when they visit the Washington Capitals on Sunday.

Since opening their five-game road trip with a 2-1 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on January 1, the Panthers have dropped three consecutive decisions.

The road trip hit a low point on Saturday, as Florida dropped a 4-0 decision to the New York Rangers.

Roberto Luongo made 21 saves, but the Panthers failed to generate any offense against rookie netminder Henrik Lundqvist.

The Capitals also have struggled recently, getting off to a 1-3 start on their six-game homestand.

Rookie sensation Alexander Ovechkin scored his team-leading 25th goal Friday, but Washington dropped a 3-1 contest to the surging Philadelphia Flyers.

Ovechkin has tallied in seven of his last eight games, but the Capitals have tallied just nine times in their last five contests.
