BOSTON (Ticker) -- Jere Lehtinen and the Dallas Stars are playing their best hockey of the season. On Saturday, they look for their season-high sixth straight victory when they visit the slumping Boston Bruins.

Since dropping a 3-2 overtime decision to the Los Angeles Kings on January 2, the Stars have reeled off five consecutive wins, including four against teams with winning records.

Dallas cruised to a 4-1 triumph over the Washington Capitals on Thursday. Jason Arnott tallied twice and registered an assist, Brenden Morrow scored a goal and assisted on another and Lehtinen netted his team-leading 24th tally.

Lehtinen has been outstanding recently, scoring four goals in his last three games.

The Bruins enter Saturday's contest two days after suffering their worst loss of the season, a 6-0 drubbing at the hands of the Kings on Thursday.

Boston has lost its last two games by a margin of 12-2, and is 2-3-0 on its current seven-game homestand.
