ST. PAUL, Minnesota (Ticker) -- The Ottawa Senators already lead the league with 179 goals. They would also like to move back into the top spot in victories and points.

The Senators can pick up their 31st win and 65th point of the season Monday in their only meeting of the season against the Minnesota Wild.

Ottawa is tied with Carolina, Detroit and Dallas for most wins and trails the Hurricanes by one point in the chase for the Presidents' Trophy. The Senators have a four-point edge over Buffalo for first place in the Northeast Division.

Vaclav Varada scored twice and Dany Heatley added his 28th goal for Ottawa in Saturday's 5-3 win over Edmonton.

Playing the fifth contest of a seven-game road trip, the Wild have lost three of their last four and are last in the Northwest Division, despite a .500 record.

Kurtis Foster scored his seventh goal for Minnesota, which suffered its fourth loss in five meetings with the Calgary Flames this season, a 4-1 defeat on Saturday.

This the sixth all-time matchup between the two teams. They have not played each other since Minnesota posted a 5-2 win over Ottawa on March 16, 2004, leveling the series, 2-2-1.
