CHICAGO (Ticker) - Captain Markus Naslund and the Vancouver
Canucks hope to end their three-game road trip on a winning note
Friday when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Canucks have won six of their last nine and enter Friday's
contest trailing first-place Calgary (34-18-7) by two points in
the Northwest Division.
Vancouver opened its road swing with a 2-1 triumph at Calgary on
Tuesday. But the Canucks fell out of first place two days
later with a 3-1 loss to the Nashville Predators.
Naslund opened the scoring just over two minutes into the second
period with his team-leading 28th goal, but the Canucks
struggled on special teams, going 1-of-11 on the power play
while allowing a go-ahead shorthanded goal.
"Giving up power-play goals and shorthanded goals are just
uncalled for, it's something you can't do," Vancouver right wing
Todd Bertuzzi said. "I thought we played well, we had the
