VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Ticker) -- The Vancouver Canucks will be trying to complete a sweep of a three-game set against the Northwest Division rival Edmonton Oilers when the two again collide on Saturday.

The Canucks had lost the first five meetings against the Oilers this season and six of seven overall before rolling to a 4-1 triumph in Edmonton on Tuesday. Vancouver followed that by posting a 4-3 shootout victory here Thursday.

With the win, the Canucks vaulted over the Oilers into third place in the Northwest Division - four points behind front-runner Calgary - and more importantly, moved them two points ahead for seventh place in the Western Conference playoff race.

Despite the loss, Edmonton earned a point, moving it ahead of idle Los Angeles for eighth place in the Western Conference.

Todd Bertuzzi scored Vancouver's first goal on Thursday and netted the deciding tally in the shootout. Goaltender Alex Auld stopped 29 shots and one more in the shootout after making 30 saves in Tuesday's affair.

Raffi Torres scored twice for Edmonton and has three in the first two games to bring his season total to 25, second on the team to Ryan Smyth's 31. In seven games against Vancouver this season, Torres has seven goals and an assist.

Goalie Dwayne Roloson made just 16 saves and fell to 2-3-3 since being acquired from Minnesota on March 7.
