EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Edmonton Oilers' strong play at home this season is an extension of what took place last season.

The Oilers conclude a three-game homestand against the struggling Phoenix Coyotes on Monday.

Edmonton closed the 2005-06 campaign with three straight wins here before defeating the Detroit Red Wings, 3-1, on Saturday to begin 4-0-0 at home this season.

Petr Sykora and Joffrey Lupul scored a goal apiece while Dwayne Roloson made 26 saves for the Oilers, who have won four of their last five games.

The Coyotes absorbed their second consecutive shutout loss, 4-0, at the Dallas Stars on Saturday. Curtis Joseph turned away 28 shots for Phoenix, which was outshot, 32-22.

Phoenix, which won last year's season series with a 2-1-1 mark, has not scored in its last 120:23, dating back to a 5-2 win over the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.
